In November, CBC ran a contest to find Canada’s Worst Commute. What we learned is that people hate long car commutes, and that transportation systems should be designed to give people safer, faster, cheaper, more convenient alternatives.
But we know that it’s not all bad. So Vision Zero Vancouver is launching a friendly competition to find Canada’s Best Commute!
We’ve asking anyone who thinks they have a great commute to send in a video submission. Tell us why you love your commute and why it’s the best in Canada!
No specific rules, but it should be 3-5 minutes on an easily shareable platform. Feel free to use the hashtag #canadasbestcommute and send us the link to contact@visionzerovancouver.ca
The contest will be open all summer. We’ll post sample submissions here, and pick the top 5 which we’ll then open up to a community vote. The winner will receive an awesome prize!

Mine is a little on the long side. I have a lot to say, and @nicthedoor got some amazing footage of False Creek, Vancouver. We don’t expect every submission to be this long. Just show us what your awesome commute looks like! The best part of my commute is being around as few cars as possible, and the fact that is always takes the same amount of time. Plus it’s nice to see people and get some outdoor time on the seawall.
